Asti or Asti Spumante, a wonderful white sparkling wine, originates from an area to the south of the town of Asti in Piedmont, Italy. It's fruity, sweet taste makes it a perfect partner with appetizers and desserts.

Asti is a DOCG (Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita)non-Champagne sparkling wine, meaning it is regulated as to what grapes can be used in it, and what areas can create an Asti Spumanti.
