Unique among Whiskeys, Redbreast is a 'single', unblended, Pure Pot Still Irish Whiskey which has been Triple Distilled and Matured in oak casks for no less than twelve years. The uncompromising dedication to authenticity and quality gives Redbreast a traditional smooth mellow character and a taste which is full flavored and assertive but not over robust.
Redbreast 15 is distinct from Redbreast 12 in that it is bottled at a strength of 46% (instead of 40%) and is not chill filtered. Redbreast is a special unblended whiskey distilled from malted and unmalted barley in traditional copper pot stills. Nose has sherry notes, taste is spicy and fruity all the way through and the finish is satisfying and long.
Produced at Midleton Distillery, Redbreast 12 Year Old Cask Strength is Redbreast in its natural full-flavored state – straight from the cask, non-chill filtered and without the addition of water. Deep full dried fruit, a touch of citrus with aromatic oils and spices. Vanilla sweetness leads to toasted oak and barley. Exceedingly long finish with a rich complexity of spices and fruit, slowly fading through sweet butterscotch to barley.
