DESCRIPTION
Produced once a year in very small batches, Laphroaig "Triple Wood" is a limited edition release which has been matured in three types of casks. On the nose Laphroaig "Triple Wood" offers sweet aromas of raisin, apricot, walnut and vanilla embedded in a bold note of earthy peat smoke. The rich, full bodied palate opens with an initial burst of peat smoke, but is softened by a suggestion of sherry sweetness, along with flavors of vanilla, citrus fruit and peppery spice. The long, dry finish offers smooth notes of caramel accented by a hint of salted cashew.
