Cockburn's Fine Ruby Port

Cockburn’s Fine Ruby Port is a blend of young wines from different vintages, aged for three years in large wood casks. Youthful in character it has a vibrant red-to-purple color and fresh, grapey aromas. On the palate, this grapeyness is overlaid with notes of raspberry, plum and spice. It has a generous, rounded mouth feel and a ripe, sweet character. Cockburn's Fine Tawny Port

Fine Tawny is aged for approximately three years in small barrels. This hastens the aging process so that the wine evolves to a reddish amber color and develops a silky feel and nutty flavor. Tawny Port is filtered before bottling and and is a smoother, mellower drink than its Ruby counterpart.

Late Bottle Vintage Ports (LBV’s) are made from grapes of a single year. They are aged in oak casks for up to 6 years before being bottled, at which point they are ready to drink – and being lightly filtered require no decanting. Cockburn’s LBV is an intense assertive wine with bags of character. It is youthful and impulsive in style, deep red in colour and with aromas of damson, mulberry, summer fruits and chocolate. It leaves an intense sensation on the palate, and has a full feel, with some complexity from its wood ageing. The fortified element is well married to the wine presenting a harmonious balanced feel. The finish is long and attractive.

Cockburn's Special Reserve Porto

First blended over 40 years ago it offered wine drinkers a new style of Port. Four-fifths of the blend is from youthful wines but the remainder is from more mature wines which give the wine roundness and a seductive, velvety feel.
