DESCRIPTION

Osborne Amontillado has a crisp bouquet and exquisite taste. It is a medium dry sherry with a brisk nutty flavor, a pungent aroma and a rich caramel color. Due to this sherry's extended aging, it is smooth and sensuous to the palate. Osborne Amontillado has a distinctive finesse that enriches consomme and enhances its flavor. This sherry may be served chilled or at room temperature and is an excellent accompaniment to many soups and semi-soft cheeses, as well as smoked salmon, caviar or pate. 88 Points - "Seductive caramel, toffee and hazelnut aromas lead to an equally nutty palate that features more maple and more toffee. Varietal

Sherry is a fortified Spanish wine that is produced in Spain's "Sherry Triangle"; i.e., the towns of Puerto de Santa María, Jerez and Sanlúcar de Barrameda.   The wine ranges from very dry to sweet and from amber to brown.  It is produced primarily from the Palomino and Pedro Ximénez grapes.
