The obvious thing is that when you think of Achaval Ferrer their limited production, single vineyard Malbec comes to mind, as they are without a doubt some of the finest wines being produced in the world. But they have become so expensive and limited in availability that it created issues for both consumer and winery. So the answer was to produce a mainstream Malbec from Mendoza that would still dazzle without the excessive price tag and still deliver the house’s impeccable quality. There’s exceptional fruit purity and concentration but a backbone of structure that keeps this tightly coiled and made for some solid mid term aging potential. This will only get better with a few years under its belt. As with all Achaval Ferrer wines this is top shelf quality.
