Deep, dark red. Tarry, green tobacco and cold beef scents rise above varietal notes of chocolate and spice. Any oak influence has most certainly been absorbed. Warm, generous dark cherry and plum combining into a complex pan forte/fruit cake richness, without sweetness. Very good length bordered by smooth, rounded tannins.
Syrah or Shiraz is a bluish-black grape grown throughout the world and used primarily to produce powerful, spicy red wines. The use of the term Shiraz is unique to Australia. Other countries refer to it as Syrah.
