Big and bold, our Smoking Loon Petite Sirah comes through strongly with blackberry and red raspberry on the palate, backed by dutch cocoa and spice. The finish has an earthy edge, partly from the skillfully integrated Marchive French oak, a high-quality French oak that lends rich complexity without overwhelming the other flavors. The wine opens beautifully in the glass, revealing hints of cassis, cherry, and a gamy quality from a small percentage of Sirah blended in.
