This fruit-driven, full-flavored sparkling wine, featuring Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, has become one of our most popular wines. Our Blanc de Noir is forward and generous with intense ripe Pinot Noir fruit and lush complex flavors. --Wine Spectator December 2001, Rated 88 - A rich, complex style, with creamy vanilla, hints of black cherry, pear and fig. Holds its focus and gains complexity and finesse with a touch of smoky tangerine on the finish.

Varietal

Champagne is a region of France, and only wines which come from this region can properly be called "Champagne". Similar drinks from California, and the rest of the world should be called "sparkling wines". It is produced by inducing the in-bottle secondary fermentation of the wine to effect carbonation.
The amount of sugar added after the second fermentation and aging varies and will dictate the sweetness level of the Champagne.
