Gentle handling and careful attention is given to the Chenin Blanc grapes from the vine to the glass. To retain the delicate varietal flavors of crisp citrus, melon, and spicy ginger, Beringer’s winemakers chill the juices immediately following crush and continue to closely monitor the temperature throughout fermentation. Just before dryness, they cool the juices even further to halt fermentation and retain a smooth, lush mouthfeel and lingering finish.
When making Beringer Pinot Grigio, the winemaking team focuses on the refreshing crisp minerality and fruity peach undertones for which the varietal is known. Following harvest, the grapes are gently crushed and immediately pressed to minimize skin contact. A cool-fermentation follows in stainless steel to retain the Pinot Grigio’s bright, fruit forward character. The resulting wine has a refreshing bite of juicy white peach and citrus, finishing with a flinty-minerality.

To achieve the perfect color in their White Merlot, Beringer’s winemaking team gently destems and presses the Merlot grapes, leaving the red skins in contact with the juice for approximately three hours. As soon as the desired soft, red-purple hue is achieved, the juice is removed. Slow, cool fermentations follow to retain the bright acidity, fresh melon and citrus flavors. The resulting wine is a vibrant blend of fresh berry and zesty orange peel flavors, with a hint of nutmeg spice.

highlights that are Pinot Grigio's hallmark. Without doubt, it is
the best-known Friulian wine around the world.

The nose is explosive with apricot, orange peel and flowers. Green apple, honey, fig and apricot mingle on the palate. The hint of residual sugar is perfectly balanced with sufficient acidity to display a nice long tropical fruit finish. This is not the typical sweet-style California Riesling. We prefer an off-dry style with enough acidity for a lively mouth-feel.
This distinctive Sauvignon Blanc displays an inviting aroma of bright, creamy, melon and fig fruit with rich, crisp, melon and citrus flavors.
Mary’s Vineyard continues to produce wines with remarkable intensity and structure. This Sauvignon Blanc exudes ripe, exotic flavors on top of firm, palate-cleansing acids. In 2006 no new oak was used, allowing us to accentuate the bright, fresh fruit. Lightly grassy and very zingy, this wine brings together the best aspects of sauvignon blanc.

A cool fermentation over 20 to 30 days ensures retention of all the fruit aromas and flavours of the grapes. The wine is fresh and fragrant with an attractive floral bouquet. The taste is dry, with crisp mouth-filling flavours and a long, clean finish.
Our signature style of 'non grassy' Sauvignon Blanc is achieved by blending Sauvignon Musque (a clonal cousin of Sauvignon Blanc) which balances the wine's natural acidity, strengthens the mid-palate and provides a longer finish. We also ferment and age 21% of the wine in very fine grain French Oak barrels to preserve the fresh aromatic qualities of these varietals.
A Matanzas Creek classic, our Chardonnay is sourced from cool climate vineyards in Bennett Valley and Carneros. A touch of the grapes experienced botrytis, also referred to as noble rot which imparts notes of honeysuckle flower and white peach. Each geographic partner in our Ménage à Trois Chardonnay contributes a distinctive quality: fresh citrus aromas from Monterey; lush tropical fruit flavors from Santa Barbara; and fine structure from Mendocino. We’d like to say it’s a Ménage made in heaven, but to be truthful, it was made in Napa Valley.
Like a freshly washed sheet flapping on a clothesline in the springtime breeze, Meridian Pinot Grigio is crisp and lively, with snappy mineral and citrus notes.
Its mouthfeel is highly structured, with concentrated flavors of lemon and orange blossom. About 20% of the blend came from Cat Canyon, contributing delicious ripe summer peach and pippin apple flavors to the blend. Another 20% came from Riverbench, delivering rich, tropical taste and a wonderful honeyed texture. North Canyon finished it off, bringing a mango and melon nuance that I think rounds it out the finished wine nicely.
You’ll give anything a try - once, at least. Your initial sip of Meridian Sauvignon Blanc confirms this approach to life. It surprises and heightens your senses with its notes of zingy grapefruit, zesty lime, and hint of freshly mown lawn. Freshly mown lawn?! You bet. It takes a summer BBQ can-I-bring-a-white-wine offering from ordinary to extraordinary, it provides the perfect complement to a spontaneous "let’s order Chinese," and is a tangy match for flavorful cheeses like goat or feta.

Minnesota, the ancestral home of Murphy-Goode partner David Ready, winemaker David Ready Jr., cellarmaster Adam Ready and Murphy-Goode marketing wizard, John Hoffman, is also the source of excellent oak wine barrels. The cold climate produces tight-grained wood that contributes rich, toasty f lavors to our Chardonnay.
This wine is barrel fermented in the traditional white wine Murphy-Goode combination of French and American oak barrels. A varying percentage of the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation to add a slightly rounder texture while still preserving the fresh Chardonnay fruit characteristics. The apricot and pear aromas and flavors of this clean, fresh Chardonnay are highlighted with just the right hint of oak.
This is our most vineyard driven wine. The Murphy family farm and manage the fruit to develop tropical and melon-like flavors rather than the green herbaceousness often associated with the variety. Winemaker David Ready Jr. cold ferments the majority of the wine to heighten the bright fruit characteristics while fermenting a small percentage in barrel to add richness and texture. This results in a crisp wine with notes of ripe grapefruit, tropical fruit and fig.
