Sensory profile: Straw yellow in color with light ash-grey flecks typical of Pinot Grigio. The scent has traces of white flowers and mature pear. Great structure and balance, long and complex. Pinot Grigio wine from Italy is totally different from the Pinot Gris wine of France's Alsace; however, Pinot Gris and Pinot Grigio are the same white grape. This grape's acidity gives Pinot Grigio a nice mid-palate balance; its crispness prepares the palate for food. It is a perfect cocktail wine - a light, very crisp, dry white.
