Varietal

Sauvignon Blanc is a classic white-wine variety popular in the Bordeaux and eastern Loire regions of France.

New Zealand's climate has been conducive to the growth of this varietal, resulting in a perfumed, fruity style that has reached North America as well as France.  Fumé Blanc is just another name for Sauvignon Blanc.
