The Crusher Merlot is classic in both elegance and structure. Opening with aromas of vanilla, candied cherries and raspberry jam. Hints of toasted oregano and muddled purple basil rise up from the glass. Supple textures and flavors of dried plum, red currant and tangerine. A unique wine with decadent hints of toasted almond, molasses and semi-sweet chocolate.
This merlot is sourced from North Valley fruit, much of it comes from vineyards near Lodi. A small amount of Petit Verdot and Petite Sirah have been added for body and texture.
The fruit for this merlot was sourced from California's renowned Central Coast vineyards where a cool climate slows the pace of ripening, allowing the grapes to develop rich flavor and deep, concentrated color. This wine opens with aromas of black cherry, asian plub and cranberry supported by hints of black olive, tea leaf and baking spices. Mocha, brown sugar and sweet oak round out the nose, while the palate brims with dark ripe cherry, mario berry and plum flavors. Oak aging lends sweet toast and brown sugar notes to the lingering finish.

The nose is a compelling mixture of juniper, dried herb, bright red cherry, black tea leaf, dried orange peel, exotic spices, and notes of vanilla and light toast. On the palate, plush dark bramble, dried blueberry, and dark chocolate are f ramed by notes of black pepper and cedar. This medium- to full-bodied wine leads to a silky finish.
The Fog Mountain Merlot was produced from carefully selected Merlot grapes grown throughout California. This Merlot is dark ruby in color with aromas reminiscent of raspberry jam with hints of lightly toasted oak. This wine is made in a fruit forward style exhibiting mouth filling black cherry, dusty chocolate, and just a touch of blackberry, finishing soft with ripe plum and delicate vanilla oak flavors.
