On the palate, the 2016 La Jota Cabernet Franc has an approachable gravelly minerality followed by herbal aromatics. Notes of anise, blackberry, and black tea are carried by an impressive mouthfeel and long drawn out finish.
A delicious blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Deep ruby core. Gorgeous ripe raspberry and currant with soft oak notes of vanilla. A touch of roast coffee adds to the dazzling range of aromas. Layers of clean, direct fruit show themselves varyingly with each sip as intensifying flavors of blackcurrant and brown spice.
Floral with predominant notes of violet. Rounding out the nose are aromas of dry herbs and hints of orange peel, white pepper and currant. On the palate, fresh red berries, cassis and strawberry. This wine has plenty of texture and is rich mid-palate, but has a soft and creamy finish.
This cabernet franc has grassy aromas of raspberry jam and spicy green grass lead to a luscious mouth-full of dark red fruit and delicate soft tannins and a long spicy finish.
This bottling offers a tarry backbone on the nose with a hint of crushed elderberry. The palate is a bit bitter, with Concord grape flavors cut by tar and bittersweet dark chocolate shavings.
