Deep and lively Ruby color. The wine is full-bodied and has very appealing red fruit driven aromas. On the palate, fresh and youthful with raspberry and cherry flavors, combined with a long and intense finish.
Full-bodied, rich but perfectly balanced with soft peppery tannins and with a fine acidity that ensure perfect balance on the palate.
Boardroom is silky smooth with delicate raisiny fruit flavors and recognizable nutty character.
While some people say, "any port in a storm", we strongly suggest ours. Terra d'Oro Zinfandel Port displays aromas of raisined berry fruit, sugared dates, chocolate, caramel and orange peel. The wine's rich, lush, grapy flavors also evoke raisin, cocoa, coffee and toffee. This delicious, fortified wine is perfect onits own or as an accompaniment to chocolate, chocolate, chocolate...don't like chocolate? Try it with Stilton cheese and toasted walnuts.
Suggests raspberries, chocolate and spicy baked apples. Served slightly warmed, its engaging cedar aroma and full body provide the perfect alternative to cognac. Served chilled, it complements the richest desserts, to complete the perfect meal. Its delicious polished flavor can be attributed to the oak casks it is aged in.
Dow's 30 Years Old Tawny is made exclusively from grapes sourced at "A"classified vineyards (the highest), which includes Dow's Quinta do Bomfim and Quintada Senhora da Ribeira, two of the very best vineyards in the Douro valley. This enviable position is reflected in the excellent quality and consistency of the style evident in Dow's 30 Years Old Tawny. This 30 Years Old Port is a beautifully mature wine of great distinction. Pale and delicate, it has superb complexity and style. With a concentrated and nutty nose and a full, fresh and lingering finish. It is a very skillful blend, creating an excellent balance between nutty oak and raisin fruit flavors.
Fine Tawny is aged for approximately three years in small barrels. This hastens the aging process so that the wine evolves to a reddish amber color and develops a silky feel and nutty flavor. Tawny Port is filtered before bottling and and is a smoother, mellower drink than its Ruby counterpart.
Amazing aromas of lilac, violet, crushed blueberry and mineral that turn to black pepper and spices follow through to a full-bodied, medium-sweet palate, with a long, chewy finish. Evolves to tar and asphalt. Really held back, yet powerful grip slaps you. This is mind-blowing in texture. The greatest Dow ever made.
For many the perfect age for a great Tawny Port. The vibrant purple colour of a great young Port has softened to a delicate green-gold after 20 long years in seasoned oak casks under the watchful eye of the master blender and the Dows head lodge man. On the palate, Dows Twenty Years Old Tawny is perfectly balanced, with notes of dried nuts and spice. One of the greatest wines a Port blender can make.
