Description

This bourbon arrives with a minimum age of 5-plus years and bottled at 47 percent ABV. Those are fairly lofty figures for what is ostensibly a sourced whiskey, but that’s also a reductive, clinical way to analyze whiskey when the liquid is this enjoyable. The nose is soft and approachable with toasted caramel, sweet corn, and a touch of lemon oil. On the palate, there’s depth and complexity, too, with prominent notes of vanilla, baked peach, berry compote, vanilla, toffee, and Graham crackers. Barrel tannins bolster the finish and cement its credentials as a bona fide sipper.
