Sazerac de Forge XO Cognac lives up to its “Extra Old” designation, with the youngest spirit in the blend aged a minimum of 10 years and components reaching up to 20 years, all matured in French oak. The nose is immediately inviting, offering layers of toffee, marzipan, baked berries, toasted almonds, and gentle spice, lifted by a delicate floral note reminiscent of crushed rose petals. On the palate, a kaleidoscope of vibrant fruit unfolds—orange, tangerine, mango, and red berries—woven with vanilla, caramel, nutty richness, and a touch of peppery spice. The finish is long and warming, carrying lingering citrus, refined oak, and soft cinnamon.
