When resting this award winning Código Reposado for approximately 6 months, they use the same award winning Napa Cabernet barrels and char them by hand on site at our private distillery in Amatitán. This tequila is aged to perfection by taste, rather than strictly calendar weeks, adhering to a time-honored family aging process. Tasting notes are reminiscent of bright sweet agave with the added complexity of vanilla, toasted caramel, and subtle cocoa powder.
