This is the fifth edition, and final expression of its Canadian Club Chronicles Series. The Canadian Club 45 Year Old, according to those behind it, was batched and barreled back in 1977. Bottled recently at 50% ABV, it has been named “The Icon” to pay homage to a past that is as storied as the characters who have sipped the liquid. It has been featured on-screen from the 1960’s to the present day across 50 countries by some of film and television’s most iconic characters. It features enticing aromas of warm pear, baking spices, toffee with a hint of leather. The taste of Espresso crema is balanced with wine, poached pear, and the nutty sweetness of praline. The finish is well-rounded, smooth, and lingering.
