Von Stiehl Old Vine Merlot

Description

Ruby red, fruit forward with dark cherry, hints of spice, and light oak. The grapes from these 61-year-old vines were fermented slightly cooler to retain fruitness and to enhance the spicy notes of clove and cinnamon. Lighter in body but full of flavor, soft tannins give way to a long and elegant finish. Aged 16 months in French Hybrid oak barrels.
