Description

Made only in select vintages, this is the estate’s smallest and most prized cru. Produced from a tiny, west-facing, 2-hectare vineyard planted on a steep hill in 1988, this is the winery’s oldest and most prized vineyard block. This beautifully balanced, old-vine Brunello showcases both depth and elegance. Opening with a medium-dark garnet hue, it reveals layered aromas of medicinal cherry, sour plum, cassis, dusty violet, and exotic spice, accented by hints of leather and cured tobacco. Silky and refined on the palate, dense waves of rich red fruit are lifted by chalky minerality and inner florals, while fine-grained tannins provide structure and poise. The finish is long and expressive, marked by lingering notes of licorice, blackberry, and bright acidity.
