Ingredients

  • 2 parts Basil Hayden Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
  • 1/2 part Simple syrup
  • Fresh mint leaves

Preparation

  1. Add mint leaves and syrup to a julep tin cup or rocks glass
  2. Gently muddle to express the oils
  3. Add crushed ice
  4. Pour bourbon over ice
  5. Stir thoroughly
  6. Garnish with a mint sprig
