• 2 oz Sazerac Rye
  • .5 oz Simple Syrup
  • 2-3 dashes Peychauds Bitters
  • 1-2 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • Rinse of Herbsaint or Absinthe 


  1. Rinse a chilled Old Fashioned glass with the Herbsaint
  2. Add the Sazerac Rye, simple syrup and bitters into a mixing glass with ice and stir until well-chilled
  3. Strain the drink into the glass
  4. Express the lemon peel oils over the top of the drink, and garnish with the peel
