Ingredients

  • 2 oz Rye Whiskey: Angels Envy Rye, Basil Haydens Dark Rye or Knob Creek Small Batch Rye
  • .5 oz Domaine De Canton
  • 1 oz Lemon Juice
  • .75 oz Simple Syrup
  • 1.5 oz Red Wine from the Old World (Europe): Santa Cristina Toscana Sangiovese, Chateau La Grange Clinet or Torres Celeste

Preparation

  1. Mix all ingredients except wine in shaker with ice
  2. Shake and strain over ice into a tub glass  
  3. Float wine using a bar spoon or tablespoon and garnish with a lemon peel
